Oaklands Hospital, part of Ramsay Health Care, is a private healthcare provider located in Salford, Greater Manchester. MTX have been appointed to deliver a new ward extension to the hospital.

The new facility will comprise of 2 storeys. Built on a steel transfer structure to accommodate existing levels, the new extension will allow access for patients at all levels. The first floor will consist of offices, pre-assessment rooms, meeting rooms and male and female change. The second floor will house the ward; made up of 8 spacious single bed rooms with en-suites.

The new extension has been designed to match the existing external appearance of the hospital which will include both traditional and brick slip brickwork finishes.

Design freeze has been achieved and MTX have commenced with the piled groundwork solution to allow transfer structure installation on site early January 2020, ready to accept the building in February 2020. Practical completion is due end of March 2020.
