MTX are delivering a modular Intensive Care Unit to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, Kent.
The William Harvey Hospital is 1 of 3 main hospitals in the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust area.
The new facility will house the 24 bed ICU ward, 2 dedicated separate plant rooms and ancillary accommodation such as offices, changing rooms and training rooms across 2 storeys. The unit will be built on a steel gantry, so that the new ward links directly into the first floor of the existing hospital street; in close proximity to the current live wards. Working alongside our architectural partners and the client team, we have determined a bespoke design which will be externally clad with modern aluminium composite cladding.
On site works have commenced with the main drainage runs, retaining walls and foundations, in preparation for the delivery and install of the volumetric units.
